Jenny has been working in a management role for the last 6 years and would like to advance
her career to a senior management position in the company that she currently works for, or
start applying for more senior management roles elsewhere.

She has recently completed a Diploma of Leadership and Management and really enjoyed
the study finding it very relevant to her current workload.

It was helpful being able to discuss issues and solutions with the trainer and other students in class. We were able to share stories and solve problems in a confidential and comfortable environment. I learnt so much and was able to confidentially implement innovative strategies in the workplace. The whole thing has actually been very rewarding, she said.

She decided to enquire about the Associate Degree of Business and Commerce as it offered
her the opportunity to refine her professional skills and knowledge and gain useful
qualifications along the way.

Having already completed a Diploma in Leadership and Management I was able to get 1 year advanced standing which meant that I only had to complete 1 more year to finish the Associate Degree. My dream is to go on next year to complete a Bachelor’s Degree. I can do this at UOW or through the University of Southern Queensland, she added.

The Associate Degree of Business and Commerce is the perfect way to start your degree in business at University. An Associate Degree is a qualification in its own right, but it is also a pathway to a Bachelor Degree. This means that the 16 courses that you study can count towards a Bachelor degree. Jenny can also apply for HECS-HELP.
