I recently completed the Team Leader Skillset course offered by ITeC, which consisted of three units from the Leadership and Management Certificate IV qualification. The course was delivered online and included a Zoom class session once a week.
The trainer, Virginia Wren, was excellent. She possessed great knowledge with real life work experience relating to the learning material and did a fantastic job of keeping all the participants involved in the class discussions with her friendly, encouraging style.
The content was divided into performance and knowledge tasks and required a time commitment but with Virginia’s guidance and support I found the tasks manageable and rewarding. The online delivery format worked well for me as I was working from home at the time due to the COVID-19 pandemic. I learnt a lot by completing the Team Leader Skillset course and I look forward to completing more training with ITeC in the future. I would not hesitate to recommend ITeC as a quality training provider.
I have really enjoyed the cert iv in Leadership and management I recently completed. At first, I was overwhelmed but once Virginia was able to help me identify what I complete at work, and how the course fits in with this, I found it much more easier to understand and complete. Using certain terminologies and understanding why certain practices are done really helped me in my work and for future positions. My confidence has grown, and I can honestly say it was due to this course.
Rhonda is definitely a credit to Illawarra ITeC. 2020 presented may difficult situations and for Team Leaders that were managing all the changes throughout this time, Rhonda’s continued support and delivery of the course through Collaborating with all attendee’s using different mediums to provide a suitable yet challenging learning environment. Rhonda definitely challenged us and in providing a safe space we all sort to think outside our personal comfort zones.
