ITeC are taking the Certificate III in Music course down the South Coast to Nowra. This new version of our popular Music course will be run by Sam Tacey at Stella Studioz, Nowra.
This course will prepare students for a career in the sound industry and entertainment sector. Learn how to install and disassemble AV equipment & undertake live audio operations. Record & mix music demos & prepare audio assets for a variety of applications. Learn basic camera & lighting operations to film content for a music video.
This course will be delivered at Stella Studioz located in Nowra and South Nowra. Stella Studioz is equipped with multiple training rooms each with P.A., lighting and computing. There is a range of instruments and audio/film equipment as well as a team of knowledgable and talented staff.

Record & Mix Demos
Prepare to record music demos and record performers. Mix and balance sound sources to achieve required effects. Produce accurate transitions between sounds and apply effects and signal processing as required. Monitor levels according to safe work practices while assessing the quality of each recorded track and evaluating the overall mix. Confirm level of mix is within technical limits and required dynamic range. Finalise the music demo.
Operate Sound Systems
Confirm production requirements and prepare for sound reinforcement operations. Confirm audio equipment has been correctly installed and tested. Listen critically to sound systems and adjust as necessary to take account of venue acoustics. Monitor sound levels to ensure they do not exceed safe noise levels. Assist with the disassembly of audio equipment.
Film Content For A Music Video
Learn the skills and knowledge required to assist with setting up and shooting a low-budget, basic video production. Set-up lighting and adjust focus and angles of lights as required. Individuals will prepare for and assist with shoots and record video sequences to create a music video film clip.

Sam is virtuoso guitarist and multi-instrumentalist, sound engineer, producer, videographer and based on the South Coast of New South Wales. Completing a Bachelor of Music at JMC Academy, Sam has developed an extensive creative industries skillset as a Director of award-winning international business Stella Studioz.
Sam regularly performs with multiple acts, records and produces music, builds content creation, provides business advisory service and trains VET qualifications.
