Learn practical skills for the RETAIL INDUSTRY

As a leader in diversity and inclusion educational opportunities, ITeC’s Certificate II in Retail will give you a great introduction to the retail world, giving you the basic skills and knowledge to engage and build customer relations, maintain store operations and expectations and work effectively in a team environment for your retail future.

What you will learn?

Retail Technology

Students will learn the use of Point-of- Sale (POS) equipment, such as scanners, EFTPOS, for customer’s transactions, the use of various tender types and reconciling your daily takings.

Retail Customer Service

Students will learn how to communicate within a retail store, work effectively in a team and service environment, build customer loyalty and rapport, understand how to identify customer’s needs, and provide advice on products and services, deal with customer difficulties, use customer management systems and more.

Displays & Stock Control

Students will learn how to receive and handle stock and merchandise the products, maintain stock levels, check stock quality and understand order requirements, build window and instore displays, ticketing and signage.

The job roles upon successful completion of this course may include sales assistant, shop assistant, cashier, customer service representative and provide a pathway to more advanced roles such as retail supervisor, team leader and senior sales assistant.
